At NHT, the sinter material tungsten–copper goes under the brand name of EROMET and is mainly produced with a tungsten/copper content of 80/20, 75/25 and 90/10 (% by weight).

Tungsten–copper [EROMET] is characterized by good erosion resistance, excellent electric and thermal conductivity and good machinability.

EROMET is used for electrodes for electrical discharge machining (EDM) and in electrical switchgear in the form of switching contacts for high and medium voltage. Its outstanding properties are its high temperature stability resulting from the tungsten matrix and its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity resulting from the infiltrated copper.
